Japanese Style Bathroom Makeover

I had so much fun doing a makeover for my friend, Amy's daughters, while they were away on a missions trip to Japan. She said the girls love everything Japanese so we went with that theme.

Here are some before pics (with our son, Asher, photobombing one of them 😂). The girl's reactions are at the end of this post...

This project was definitely a group effort. A huge thank you goes to Amy & her friend, Lindsay, for doing all the bulk painting, Belinda Sears for painting the cabinets, and to Amy's aunt & uncle for doing all the "handyman" work involved. So much fun & I'm so glad the girl's like it!

Our Laundry Room Makeover

I can not begin to tell you how awful the paint color was in our laundry room until it's recent makeover. Think early 2000's turquoise blue with a gold bronze wash on top of that. It was bad. Really, really bad. So we did away with that paint color and also extended our room out by only about 6 feet but it helps it feel so much bigger. I also got to add a "Command Center Wall" like I've been wanting for a very long time now.







Some friends of mine asked what "jobs" Asher & Mercy do around the house so I thought I'd share them here. I actually made these cards last year so they are due for some additional responsibilities. I'll have to work on those soon ;-)

Asher's New OU Bedroom Reveal

Asher has been wanting an OU bedroom for the longest time but there's one big problem. His daddy and I went to OSU so we are trying to brainwash - I mean, raise our kids to be Cowboys. He will have nothing of it. So you know we love him a lot when we surprised him with this...

We had so much fun making over Mercy's bedroom. She loves dancing, pink, & princesses so of course we had to have that in her room. I think it was a hit! ...
